Are your coaches leaving to find jobs at other gyms or start their own gyms? Have you heard if current clients are looking to start their own gym? If so, you are probably facing the splintering effect.
FIRST -> Ask yourself these questions:
1. Do you have an environment for coaches to become full time coaches in your gym? Can they make a real income and see a professional path inside your business?
2. Do you create a space where people can be creative?
3. Is there enough space within your programs where coaches can feel fully vested and involved in the business?
NEXT -> Identify why people would want to leave your box.
If the person is a true entrepreneur, you will hardly ever be able to keep them in the same spot. They have a burning desire to continuously seek out new projects, build things from the ground up and constantly be challenged.
Or are they leaving because of you?
Many times people leave because the owner is inflexible to new ideas or change. They refuse to listen and are so dead set in their ways. They are stuck in believing they know best and want to do it their own way. If this is you – get over yourself. This method of thinking will lead you father away from your goals.
If you want to raise up coaches and leaders in your business and run a successful and cohesive gym then you need to create an environment where people can thrive. Create real, full time career opportunities for people. Listen to your team’s ideas, collaborate and meet them in the middle.
