GGBP News & Updates

Google+ and Your Biz

Posted by:

Social platforms have become the most effective way to connect with your clients.  As a business owner simply picking your platform(s) can be a task within it self. We all remember when CrossFit affiliates began to user their personal accounts to represent their box and the debacle that caused when Facebook released Fan Pages. Many box owners still have profiles representing their box, but the majority have switched over to the Facebook Fan Pages.

Google has been taking notes and this summer they debuted Google+. This new social platform is Google’s response for the need to further synthesize social platforms. G+ combines the ideas of Facebook, Skype, Twitter, Foursquare, and Digg all into one great space. G+ also offers users an array of powerful tools – the hangout feature is by far one of the most existing tools Google+ has rolled out. As this platform picks up steam many are starting to insert their business presence into the conversation. Should you as a CrossFit Affiliate follow suit? Not quite yet. Check out the video below:

A Quick look

However – you DO need to pay attention. This platform is legit, it is “a real product” as Gary Vaynerchuk said in his description of G+. CrossFit Central joined G+ as a brand as soon as we could. What can we say, we know it will be a really big deal, and we’re ambitious. After watching this video we are psyched for the new business tool that should be launching in the fall. We ultimately decided to pull Central from G+, respect the space, and anxiously await the business profiles that are rumored to surpass the Facebook fan page.
