This Weekend we have 2 events – Friday night is the 2ns Annual CrossFit Games Movie Night & Saturday morning is the Garage Gym Throw Down Event. Friday’s event is laid back and we’ll have roughly 75-100 people there. Saturday’s event will have 100 competitors and we’re expecting 50-100 spectators. How do we make sure everything falls into place? Time lines, Check lists, and execution!
Even thought Friday night is a laid back movie night we still have to make sure the equipment gets set up, the movie plays, and people have a great time! Below is our checklist for the event
To-Do List:
- Secure the screen & speakers
- Secure the CrossFit Games Movie
- Determine what new media that will be shown & media @ the event
- Designate who is in charge of setting up the media
- Get with any local food vendors if applicable
- Have water bottles on hand
- Set out the time line for the evening
Time line:
After the meeting set up all necessary media
6:30pm Media Check & put on the slide show
6:30pm Coaches arrive to greet, especially the ones traveling to the Games
7:00pm Carey & Jeremy welcome everyone to Movie Night
7:05pm Bring up all Competitors to congratulate
7:15pm 3 Previews show
-We’re showing: Move, The Central Games Competitors Video & Are You Ready
7:30pm-ish CrossFit Games Movie
9:00pm Conclusion & Clean Up
CELEBRATE!
After most of our events we have some sort of post party, a happy hour, lunch, or BBQ to celebrate a job well done! After the Garage Gym Throw Down on Saturday we have a couple of tables reserved at Abel’s on the lake for athletes, spectators, and crew to hang out.
