In the Garage Gym and entrepreneurial business world, we know that measuring progress is a fundamental piece to the success of your business, and at the same time is a habit that most business owners need to develop. At the end of each month we will take a look at performance over the last 30 days. Make sure you write these numbers down or develop an excel spreadsheet so you can track your progress!

Over the last 30 days, record:


Metrics for Closed Class gym Model

  • Profits and Lost statement
  • Revenue
  • Profit

If you have been operating the closed class model for more than 90 Days, look over the last 30 days and record:

  • Number of Elements, On Ramp or Introductory Clients
  • Number of Clients
  • Number of Clients lost

How many Class hours per week are the owners working?
How much revenue is each of your classes generating?
How much revenue is created through private training from owners?

Over the last 30 days, record:
Social & Online Metrics:

  • Number of unique hits on your website
  • Top 3 places your traffic comes from
  • Number of new Facebook fans
  • Percentage of Facebook engagement
  • Number of new Twitter followers

How to get metrics from your Facebook Fan Page:


To find out what your percentage of engagement looks like over the last 30 days, follow the below steps:

  1. On the right hand side of your fan page click “View Old Insights”
  2. At the top of this page select the appropriate dates for measurements
  3. 
Under “Overview” (left hand side), under “Users”, record the number of likes
  4. Under “Interactions”, record the Views & Feedback


*Go a step further: Click on Interactions (left hand side) and check out how many likes and comments you received per day. Pay attention to where you see a spike in engagement, why were a higher number of fans moved to comment or like that particular post?

Twitter Metrics:

There are a number of services that you can use to measure the engagement of your twitter account. For these purposes, record the number of new followers. If you have not recorded this number until this date – start now.
