Current: [ kur-uh
nt] –
- a continuous movement generated by forces acted upon.
- what is prevalent; customary: the current practice.
Today as a business owner it is important to ask yourself. Are you a current? The definitions above state that currents are established and known by many. They are generated by a force and action that drives a powerful movement. ‘ A continuous movement generated by forces acted upon,’ these words have deep meaning for any owner/leader. The flow of your business is everything. How swiftly does the process of concept to action take place within your team? Swift does not always mean looking fast or having lots of drastic activity. When you look at water currents, they can sometimes appear to be moving slow, but the second you step into them you are swept away. This same concept can be transferred into your business.
There are many important aspects of business but a subject that should remain at the top of your mind is the current of what you are a part of. Without a steady flow you are in danger of becoming stagnant, which can be lethal to any organization. Challenge yourself to be the acting force that creates the continuous movement in order to establish your team as ‘what is prevalent’ in your industry.
